Our biggest frugal deal...
ended up weighing like 400lbs.

DH got a new computer and with his old one still being usable, we gave it to the kids. We put it downstairs in their playroom because we have no room in the living room, and their bedrooms are too small for a desk + computer system. Luckily, DH works for a warehouse that had some older furniture that they were just giving away. We picked up a cherry computer desk that's worth about $5,000 for NOTHING! Sadly, it was way too heavy to carry downstairs and DH didn't have the right bit for his screwdriver to take it apart. We gave the kids the $2,500 desk that we got for $50 about three years ago, and kept the cherry one for ourselves.
But hey, not bad for nothing.

That's awesome
The weight stinks though. I'm to the point where I've moved so many times I consider the weight of a piece of furniture as the most important factor in deciding which to get...lol.

Thanks everyone! We also inherited a cabinet to go with it and oddly, it's big enough to put our flat panel LCD TV, DVD player and cable box on one end and then my knick knacks on the other end. I'll have to post pictures of it when I get to it, but we've been so wrecked this week because moving these things was so EXHAUSTING!
