Default My treasure finds for the day

I had to run a few errands this morning, and goal was not to spend any money. First stop was the recycle center, where I managed to gather up a nice handfull of coupon pages out of the paper bin. I fiqure free is for me

Then I stopped at the Salvation Army center as I had a bag full of donations to drop off. They had a coat rack in the hallway, and she said they were free. So I looked and found a really nice jacket coat for myself, with zip out lining. Looks to be like new. And I really needed one, as my regular winter coat is wore out.
I am still smiling Just have to run it through the washer sometime today.

And I ended up with a bag full of paperbacks free also.
    It twas a good morning

    It got better.....
I was looking over the jacket some more, it's a Brooks Brothers, and decided to take out the lining so I could get it ready for the washer. Then got another surprise.....the lining is actually a coat all by itself. It's like quilted material.
Only blem I could find on it, is the little loop where one would hang it up was broken. Well that is not a needed thing, so I just snipped it out. It will hang just well on a hanger. When I had it on, I could not find the outside pockets. So I took it off, and it looks the pocket openings are reversed where you would slid your hand in. Kind of hard to explain. It does look new. I changed my mind about washing it.

Yup......free is a good word today

I think I better find another bag full of stuff to donate soon. Give me an excuse to stop in again there.

I think it is all about karma. You were doing a good deed by donating to others and in turn you were blessed by receiving something that you needed. I am sure that someone will be blessed by your donations also.
Books are the treasured wealth of the world and the fit inheritance of generations and nations.” --Henry David Thoreau

Yup on a good deed getting payback....almost instant too

Went to town to pickup up the news paper yesterday and stopped at a estate sale. Second day of the sale, in the middle of the afternoon. My son had stopped earlier and told me not much left, but if I was going to town, it might be still worth a look. I ended up with a animated Xmas Santa, that sings and he goes from a sitted position to a standing position and then sits back down. Fellow wanted $ 4 and I said how about $ 2 , fiquring he would counter with $ 3. I got the Santa for $ 2.00 They had other holiday decorations, but I am trying now mainly to stick to animated ones. So I got my *fix* and even the hubby thought he was cute......another good day
