Default Yard Sale for DD's Haiti Mission

I'm planning a yard sald for DD15's mission to Haiti. I'm planning it for February, provided we have a nice weekend in Feb. We usually start having some nice days toward the end of Feb, so I'm hopeful!

Another thing we're doing is holding several "Parents' Nights Out" at our house. We're babysitting our friends' kids for donations for four hours. The donations go toward the Haiti fund.

Wish us luck. I'm proud that DD is willing to pay her own way. DH and I looked at the budget, and decided that she would have to be responsible for paying her own way. That's a lot of money for a kid to raise on her own, so I'm helping her hold several small fundraisers.

Good luck! That's a big responsibility. You should be proud!

That's great. She will appreciate the trip even more when she gets there and realizes how good we have it compared to poorer countries. I hope she has a great time fundraising!

    I wish her much luck!!

What's the time frame for raising the money?

Are there weekends that would be nice enough to hold a car wash?

Yes, there would be weekends this spring that would be nice enough for a car wash. I'm getting together with two other moms in the congregation to do something (spaghetti dinner, maybe) and split the proceeds among our three kids.

Good luck on the yard sale. That's great that your daughter is raising her own money for the trip. I'm sure the experience will be wonderful for her.
