Quick thrift trip -- and a wonderful coincidence
I made a no-occasion turkey on Monday night. Since the kids wanted gravy, they heated up some jarred gravy in a measuring cup.
The table looked good -- seasonal dishes; glassware; a plate of sliced turkey; green beans; stuffing; mashed potatoes ... and the measuring cup of gravy.
"We should get a gravy boat," DH said.
Guess what I found at the thrift store today?
yep. A Dansk bowl and matching gravy boat. (plain white with a small green stripe.)
total price: $8.00
Here's the gravy boat, but with a blue stripe: http://www.dansk.com/pg/index.cfm?fu...=1485&sc=&kf=5
And the bowl is probably this one:

OOOOH! You got a steal! It's great that you found somehing so nice for something you needed no less
Good job on that one!! What did your hubby say? I'm sure he was happy too!
BTW, I think the green stripe is probably nicer than the blue. JMTC!

Hubby was pleased, but I don't think terribly impressed.
