really good garage sales this spring....
so i just came from the st vincents in our town and after talking to alot of the 'regulars' and the volunteers...and by my own observations....donations are REALLY down now.... people are holding back the giving...and i'm sure its not coz there is no longer 'stuff' out there....it is coming out our ears....
so that means one of two things....either we are too scared to part with anything and are hoarding everything we own....
or
everyone is holding out so they can make money on their stuff (i know, i know...you get a tax deduction on your donations)....but people want and need 'cold hard cash' right now... so that means lots of awesome garage sales this year !!!!
lets hope for the latter......

I love yard sales...and I have to admit as I have been cleaning here I have been gathering things to get rid of and make some cash! I am going to list a few things on kijiji this week as they are worth more and I should get better than I would at a yard sale. I hope for some good ones too!!!

Yard sales are usually cheaper than thrift stores like Salvation Army or goodwill anyway.

I think your last guess is the correct one. People are holding on to their things to make their own money. Let's hope for a great garage sale summer!!!!!
