    Thumbs up Went to my thrift stores today....

    not much but a few finds. I have a thing almost a fetish with old books....school books, kids books and my favorite are cookbooks.

    I went to the little tiny thrift store that I love cause proceeds go to abused animal sanctuary out here and I found:

    Chicken Soup for the Parents Soul .50
    Betty Crockers Quick and Easy Cookbook copyright 1954 .50

    I also hit the Domestic Violence shelter thrift store got:

    Mediterrean cookbook .50

    Goodwill and got:

    Chicken Soup for the Couples Soul .99
    Wifey to George for 15 years 11/16/96:

    I agree about the Chicken Soup books -- once I found Chicken Soup for the College Soul -- and put it in the kids' bathroom.

    You did better than I did with the books. I went to my Goodwill today and couldn't find much. I did get a pair of jeans for work and a cream colored 2pc. sweater set, and a lavender,brown, olive and cream flowered skirt to wear to Brian Free performance next Friday. I spent $17.58.
