Auction & thrift store deals
Dh & I went to an auction held by the Urban Mission (Christian charity). Dh got a set of APBA Football card game thing that he's going to resell. I got two 12ct sets of glasses for $4 each and an electric wok, brand new, in the box for $25.
Then we went next door to the thrift store they run and got:
~Lego soccer ball
~17 books (Chronicles of Narnia, Scholastic, Of Mice & Men, Tikki Tikki Tembo, Where the Wild Things Are, etc)
Total? $1.09!!!Last edited by YankeeMom; 04-04-2009 at 12:52 PM.

I love auctions, but have trouble controlling myself - wait - that was when I had money - probably could control myself better now LOL!!
Congrats on your great deals!!Travel light. The baggage of the past can only hold you back.

I too am a lover of auctions. I just recently bought a pocket knife and a mini-sword (for my DSO and I's collection) for 10$. On another trip to the auction house I bought a 2ftx3ft with lid cat litter pan (normally sold in stores here for 25$ ) for 3$, 30 dog bones/toys for 6$ (all brand new), 2 cat litter scoops for 50c, brand new horse blankets 6 for 2$...

I love auctions too - but I don't see many around here; however lots and lots of estate sales so it evens out LOL
