More thrift store finds
Dh & I stopped by the thrift store today while out finishing up our Easter shopping. We got:
VideoNow (the old black & white ones) w/ a Spongebob video in it (works!) $2
Lego Creator set, new in the box never opened! $2
HUGE pink "tool box" w/ 103 working markers for $1
Dh was proud of me, I didn't even LOOK at the books

Way to go!!! I didn't stop at Goodwill or the thrift store today, but did hit a couple of garage sales.
Got a nice eucalyptus wreath for my front door for $2 and a few clothes items for my grandaughters for 25 cents a piece.

I LOVE thrift stores! They are my favorite places. I would rather shop there than any other store.... even Macy's, Bloomingdales etc!

Wow nice shopping spree. I plan on hitting mine this payday. It's been so long since I've been in there and I need to spend another $3 so I can get $1 off. Are you going to save your finds for Christmas?

I hit the Salvation Army yesterday and was amazed. It looked like someone's attic had exploded! They were packed full of stuff!
I didn't look around too much, since all I needed were shoes for the boys. But I was able to find tennis shoes for both boys and a pair of brand new matte silver strappy sandles that I need for my brother's wedding (they were never worn outside, so I'm thinking someone wore them once for a special occassion) all for a whopping $10 bucks! Not too shabby!
Then we went over to Target, becuase our Target is closing today for a year, while they build a super target. Thought I could get some good deals. All of their clearance red tag stuff was an additional 75%, but not much was on clearance. I got excited becuase last weekend they had Garmin GPS, red tagged for $130, so I thought maybe I could get one cheap for Dh's b-day, but they were all gone already.
But I did get, a case of pop, beef jerky (for DS), a hat for DH and a tank top for me for less than $10!

I found 3 Franklin Mint - Lowell Herrero collector plates for 4.95 each was not sure of the value until I researched them when I got home but they are worth $60each! They are so lovely I plan on hanging them in my kitchen on plate hangers.

Went to a garage sale. My daughter left with 2 bags of clothes for $30. (Pepe Jeans London $2.00)
Summer wardrobe! Our salvation Army is outrageous lately. $49.00 for framed pictures and $14. for chipped, incomplete sets of china. Don't they get that people buy the pictures for the frames and that garage sales start soon?Last edited by frugalwarrior; 04-11-2009 at 05:41 PM.

Great finds! I don't know how you resisted the books, must have been tough. I'm like a magnet to books, I get sucked right in.
