Yard sale season is in full swing
There have been tons of yard sales the last few weekends. I hit a few while out today. I picked up the cutest sign for my sister as a house warming gift for $5. Girl said its new never even hung...she used to sell At Home America
Heres a picture of it on their site:
http://www.athome.com/jump.jsp?lGen=...ProductID=3216
I also picked up a white "mail caddy" needs painting but it was only .50
Also a little sign that says:
"I clean my house every other day....
Today is the other day" .50

I love garage sales! Some of my favorite things in my house have come from garage sales! I love the hunt for just the right thing. Anyone can go into a store and buy a whole room of stuff and yes it will look like a showroom. I think it takes more talent and creativity to buy most of your things one piece at a time. Even better when you get it for cheap! If you end up not loving something you are not tied to it because you have not spent a ton of money and feel you have to keep it forever. Then when you are done with it or want to change your style you can sell it at your own garage sale!

I have pretty much quit going to garage sales or estate sales in and around my area. There just isn't anything worthwhile anymore. There is mostly baby/kids clothes and junk. Even the estate sales are mostly junk. Anything that is remotely worthwhile is SO overpriced.
We will be having a garage sale soon. It will have a washer, dryer, computer monitors, computer hardware, dishes, pots, pans, glasses, office supplies, sheets, towels, shower curtains, etc. All are in working order and will be priced to move. I am talking GOOD stuff; not broken, trashed, garbage.Mary

I have seen a few signs out around here but the last couple weekends have been pretty wet. I loved garage sales when I was younger, but these days I have too much stuff already.

Love the sign, you got a great deal! I also love yard sales but I've noticed since moving that all the good ones are near the old house
Will have to try my best to find some over here.

I'm with you on the garage sales. Love, love, love them. My area is just starting to do sales because the weather is still cool. I go so often I've had people say. I knew I'd see you or I was thinking about you when I put this out. Oh. What an addiction.Fun,Fun,Fun!

Those are excellent deals! Yard sales started popping up in my area this month, but I'm usually on my way somewhere (vet appointments, work) & can't stop. I love the deals you find, but I tend to miss the best stuff since I'm not a morning person. I hope to at least get to the thrift store soon!
