Hit a yard sale HARD
Yesterday i hit a yard sale hard. It was a multifamily yard sale. These people have quite a few kids between them and even then it looked as if they had cleaned out several attics worth of stuff. Sadly i got there around 10 so best of it had been picked through. I saw a lady leaving trunk stuffed with toys in ellens age range. Darn!! But still there was TONS of awsome things.
Basically clothes("quality" clothes mind yah i'm not talking walmart grranamals that you can find on sale at walmart for $1 at times, which i love *lol*) were $1 except the smaller articals like toddler shorts or ones that showed signs of use but only had light stains, slightly faded, fuzzied(sleepers they always end up like that though) at the worst( which you could hardly tell) were $0.50. Fancy toddler dresses for special occations were $2-2.50.
I got basically a whole wardrobe in 3T and 4T, and a few things i have been needing extras of in 2 T like black and brown pants since its been cool here a lot. including 1 formal dress for each 3T & 4T.
I got costume/dress up stuff, for when she is a little older. Cinderella dress, pink princess top, 2 slips, Pirate (captain sparrow, wig included), cat, dog/puppy, flapper, fireman coat. All $1. Also a pair of Tap shoes $0.50.
Since the stuffies were the only thing with some selection i got several. Soft My Little Pony, Cinderella Pillow, "New" Carebear ( sunshine bear), Belle Doll, Shamu, Bouncy Tigger, Winnie the Pooh, a sweet littl pink floppy bunny doll, Tweety that plays music by key turning, and a lamb that also plays music by key turning. I got a few others i think, but heck i can't remember. They were all either $1 or$0.50 a peice.
In the end i stuffed my trunk full for $75. Which thinking i spent $75 is like ACKK, but when i go through and look at the items i know i saved more then $75 by spending the money now. The toys i bought alone were worth more then $75. I think christmas, birth day, and easter are pretty much done now *LOL*PHEW

Wow that's awesome! You hit the jackpot! Yesterday the town my mom lives in was having a townwide garage sale, there was at least 10 sales on my mom's street alone...I went past all of them, and only really ended up shopping at one, getting mostly clothes for my boys! I think that was the best, so inexpensive! I love garage sales!

Great deals! I wish my son was still small/younger so I could find great deals like that...but being 19, he likes new things...not expensive things...he is pretty frugal but new things.

I too love garage sales and hearing what other people's finds are. I think it is so exciting when I run into a great one! It is better than shopping at Bloomingdale's but cheaper!
