Thrift stores
Well I did a bit more thrift shopping about a week ago (BEFORE dh got laid off).
At Salvation army in our town I got an old navy red tank top with Canada written on it for dd for 1.49, she wanted it to wear on Canada day. I got a pair of really nice purple shorts for her for .99 cents. I got three pairs of soft shorts for DS (22 months old) for .99 cents each to wear to bed, because I refuse to purchase summer pjs at full price, I will buy them clearance or at a thrift store for a good buy but never full price, the weather is only warm enough here to get to wear them for 2 months, and that might not be warm enough every night then to wear them. I also got a nice pair of shorts for him for .99 cents.
I went to the salvation army thrift store in the town where I pick up my groceries and I got another couple of sales.
I got a pair of dressy shoes for DS for 1.50, and I got a cat in the hat book for .25 cents, (we had one but it was torn because it was about 28 years old lol and ds loves the book and this one was hard cover and LIKE NEW), I got a hannah montanna tee shirt for dd for .99 cents, and I got a toy cash register for the kids brand new in the box for 1.00, that was a great buy because DS had been asking for one lately, and they are about 20 dollars to get at walmart.Kelly

I hope your husband gets back to work soon. Great deals at SA. You know, I used to put both my sons to bed in oversized t shirts that I'd find at yard sales or the thrift store's 25 cent bin. They're 15 and 20 now and no longer wear big night shirts to bed. They had one pair of Pj's a year and that was to wear to bed the night before Christmas. It was a gift they got to open on Christmas eve, along with a pair of slippers.
