Great "new" work clothes for DH at Goodwill!
On a whim, I went into our local Goodwill store last Monday (I haven't shopped there for a couple of years...don't know what I was waiting for!) and after carefully picking through the men's shirts, I came up with three practically brand new polo shirts (good quality brands!) for a total of $12! Seriously...these weren't faded, they were in the right size, and looked just about perfect! So...three new shirts for work for the price of one at a JC Penney sale!
You can bet I'll be going back to Goodwill again soon!May Goals:
Only $300 for groceries this month - $206/$300
Monthly coupon/valued customer savings = $14.08
No wasted food!
Stick to budget!
Track spending DAILY

3.Snowball the CC and Sears card payments into hospital bill (due w/ Baby #2 via C-section in mid-January). Pay that off ASAP.4. Snowball payments into DH's student loan (as of 12/4/11 there's still $4770.84 remaining). Pay off by 12/31/12.
5. Keep our grocery budget to $300 each month.
6. Use Dave Ramsey's budget sheet and get on track with this each pay period.

8. Get savings account up to $8,000 (incl. emergency fund)
9. Make 2 Christmas gifts per month: 0/24.
10. Get our home organized: use a receipt book, keep my coupon organizer in check, have a touch-once policy for paper (touch once and then file or toss).
11. Achieve "give or get" goal of $1500 for the board I serve on by 9/30/12.
12. Taxes filed by March 17.

I need to start haunting our local thrift stores. None of them is in my direct path to/from work, so I tend to forget about them.

And doesn't it make you just feel so good when you find a 'treasure' at them. They are fun.

nice find!!! I've found most all of our furniture and wall decor at thrift stores. Curtains too! they can get really expensive at department stores and our local thrift store always has a really great array of curtains.

Good shopping. Just after xmas (Jan). You can find great stuff because people donate their unwanted xmas clothing gifts. Early bird specials give 1/2 off clothing too. I just love shopping S.A.

I went this past Friday and got a pair of khaki pants like new, plus a nice solid red v-neck tee that I can wear dressy or casual. I've been lucky before and found some Ann Taylor Loft stuff in my size, too.
