todays haul
At the community thrift shop in my town today I got
Like new ll bean water proof winter boots 2.00
A novel .25
aN Adorable standing teddy bear dressed like a scarecrow .50
A turkey planter for the front yard 1.00
a snowman soup cup 1.00
a straw hanging doll for fall for the front yard 1.00
but the best was I have been looking for a miraclous medal (blesssed mother) for the longest time and in the case was a beautiful one on a chain I asked how much and the girl said 1.00
the chain was gold filled but the medal is 14k I guess it was just meant to be mine. has anyone else found some good deals

Sounds like you did really well!
I haven't had a really good haul at a thrift shop, although I went to my fav for clothes and cloth stuff the other day. Got 8 linen napkins and a doiley for $2.25 or .25 each!

Wow..you did great......the cheapest books at ours are .99......so I go to the library for those.....only a quarter. I won't even look at the books, so I am not tempted.

I only wonder how things can lose their... er... expensiveness. Without losing their quality! And what is required? Just some time. On the other hand, there is a sort of things that lose some of their qualities as time goes by, but they get even more expensive themselves. And what is absolutely inexplicable, we may speak of the very same things. Books or toys, for example

Excellent deals! LL Bean boots for $2... WOW! I haven't been to the thrift store in at least a month. Maybe I'll get by there this weekend & find some fall items & a few books!
