Today's Thrift Treasures! 9/12
~Did anyone else go thrifting this morning?
My mom and I went to two shops that I hadn't been to before.
I bought:
adult pair suede shoes
sketcher sneakers, dd
red leather Mary Jane's, dd
-all in very good condition!
2 kids' books
2 bundles of scrap corduroy for a quilt I'm working on
a yard of lining fabric
a new sewing pattern
a braided rug tool kit with the metal fabric turners and flat weaver
a vintage file box
a set of 4 tin canisters from the 50's(a splurge at $11
)
a metal potato masher
a decorative, cast iron wall hook
a skein of new yarn
....for $30!

Great job on your shopping. All I got today was (cough, cough) new storm windows for the house for $500.00.

nuisance26, you did great today! I bet you feel pretty frugal! Isn't it amazing what you can find? Great job!
I went thrifting for a couple of hours Sat. morning, too, and got weveral things I needed!
Here's what I got:
~3 pairs of warm-up pants for DS for this winter
~1 pair of nice khaki pants for DS (husky)
~1 top for me for a living history project at school
Not an enormous haul, but very useful stuff!Wife to Kevin: 20 years

I hit three thrift shops today and Dh even came with me
Salvation Army was so dead maybe 3 people in it the selecton was really meager but I did find a wicker basket with metal leaves and grapes perfect for downstairs powder room for 2.00
Goodwill was jumping they had an awesome halloween section and I was wishing I still had little ones they had hundreds of costumes and tons of decorations. I got a soup bowl / large mug for .50
and some glass fall decorations for the front yard and house 2.00
and a box of glass christmas ornaments which are beautiful for 1.00
Last we hit Red white and blue which is run by Vietnam Vets the lines in the store were around the perimeter it was so busy you could hardly even walk found the most adorable snow man lamp with shade 1.00
but most of all had a great time
