Default The best place for a secondhand headboard?

DH and I just acquired a new mattress and boxspring set today (I'm so happy!) and decided not to opt for a new bed. We used the old metal frame from our other bed, but we need a headboard badly.

I'm looking primarly to get one that's in great condition, but allows us to put padding on it and our own fabric.

Where's the best type of store to look for for a gently used headboard?

OH MY GOD! Why didn't I think of that?

Tell me you saw someone redoing a bedroom and making a headboard out of fabric and plush stuffing.

Yep. Made from OSB plywood, the stuffing and fabric was centered and then they bought molding and made a "frame" around it. Colors were odd but it looked pretty good.

I think the one show I've watched that actually makes an awesome looking headboard is Design Inc. I wish I could have a pocket Tommy.
