Headed back to Goodwill found just what was on my list.
I haven't found much at the Goodwill lately because I haven't needed anything lately. This week I had two things on my list.
1) a thing to hang up to stick important things to and organize all those notes etc. that pile up the desk.
I found one and it matched the desk area perfectly. It is fake leather $1.79
2) a spring/summer dress for Little Miss
I found a pretty one that I thought would fit. I carried it around for a while. Then I thought "remember the kids need to try on things now" (their age makes their size and taste unpredictable) So I put it back.
I took Little Miss on Saturday to see if it is still there, if it fits, and if she likes it. It was, it did , and she liked it. It really showed off the color of her hair.
Our Goodwill just started the sale with a certain color tag being 50% off. It was the first day so there were tons of signs explaining it. Her dress was the color of the day. So it was 50% off ( plus the 10% off with the preferred customer card) - $1.34 If I had bought it the day before ( without having her try it on it would have not been on sale)

Congrats Imagine!! You really opened my eyes - perhaps that's why I haven't found things when I have shopped at second hand stores - I really didn't need anything!! Mahalo - that really helps!!

Way to go imagine! Some great prices.
Our value village does the tag thing but our 'little' goodwill doesn't....the big one downtown does though.

It is a discount card that our Goodwill sells. I bought it for $1 when it first opened (I think it is $5 a year normally) and you get 10% off of all purchases, even on dollar days when everything is a dollar. It is good in any of the Goodwills in our district. If I'm at my Mom's house I can use the card at her Goodwill to get the 10% off also.

I'm glad the dress was still there. You got a great deal on it. I'll have to check if our Goodwill offers a preferred customer card.
