Talking Did anyone yard sale this weekend?

~What did you buy or how much did you make this weekend?
Here's my haul for today: 3 planters, 11 maternity tops, 2 tins, 3 beanie babies, candy machine, fabric scrap, vintage buttons on card, full cotton duvet and cases and an ice bucket. Guess how much I spent?

    $18.30!!!! So fun!~

Looks like a good haul, and the tins are too cute!

Pouring rain here this weekend, no yard sales going on.

You really did great!! How wonderful to have so many maternity tops to choose from! That gives such a boost during pregnancy. We've got lots of snow and melting snow on the ground, so no garage sales for me . . . YET! I can hardly wait though!!!! I did go to an indoor "Munchkin Market" today selling tons of kids secondhand clothes and toys, etc. Bought a few clothing items for my dd and ds at great prices.

~Sorry about the rain Contrary. But there will be lots of great weekends coming up, right?
Glad you found some great deals on clothes FF!
The maternity tops were a good deal although they were the most expensive things I purchased(11/$9). They're all too big or have sleeves that need to be removed. But I'd rather put in a bit of altering and have 11 shirts that need a bit of fitting for the price of 2 that do fit me at the thrift/consignment store. ~

My sister in law was having a yard sale, so we took out our box of leftovers from last year (already marked) and a couple more bags of other stuff. We ended up making $45.75 plus $30.00 more coming from a dog door that someone is picking up on Monday. So, $75.75 and I barely lifted a finger! This is the first year we haven't had enough stuff for a sale...we've had one for the past three years.

    BTW Great deals Nuisance!

~I've been collecting the tins too, FF, but slowly. I have five of them now in different sizes and different kinds of buildings. They store medication out of site in a cabinet for now but one day I will use them decoratively somewhere.
Becky, you did great for just selling your last year's leftovers! That's fantastic! I did that with my mom's yard sale a few years ago. I made about $100 at mine and another $100 at hers. The second one is gravy, isn't it?
I keep debating whether to have a sale this year or not. I have stuff I've been putting aside in my sunroom and shed but I don't know if it's enough for a sale. And I just hate the work of it all just to maybe make $50. But then the frugal part of me screams "That's $50 you don't have now!!". ~

A friend and I actually traveled 40 min one way to a community sale, my first of the season and it was worth it. Got my dil a big stack of dinner plates and salad plates to match her kitchen for $1.00
A large wooden Americana sign for her living room $2.00
4 curtain toppers for her windows in lr $4.00 ($1.00 apiece)
    shirt for me $2.00
antique chalkboard (very heavy with old wood frame) $2.00
shirt, 2 camis for dd $.75 (wish I had been at this sale earlier, almost everything was $.25)
small white baker's rack for dd for her apt. $3.00
Probably others I have forgotten, but we had a great time and got some wonderful bargains.

My husband picked up a nice used lawn mower(push) for $35. Not a bad deal for this area.

    You did good!

Last week I scored a wood dinette set for $30. I only needed the chairs but I got the whole set...I think I might cut the legs on the table, paint it black and make a coffee table out of it since I need one. The sides collapse so it would make a great coffee table.

This week, I scored a mint-condition sofa and loveseat for $125! The sale was next door so her dh and son brought it over for me. I didn't have to do anything but pay the gal.
