    Default Today's Auction Deals

It was a MISERABLE day for sitting outside at an auction...windy, rainy, chilly. But I think it was worth it. My favorite find of the day is this desk we got for $20

I won't tell you how many desks we now have in our house

    I also got:
clothes bars (drying rack) for $1
    Pogo stick $1
    a small table $5
box FULL of silverware: 57 spoons, 39 forks, 39 butter knives, 3 serving spoons, 1 serving fork, 6 sharp knives, a small whisk, two can/bottle openers, a potato peeler, two spreaders (for spreads or frosting), and half a dozen big spatulas/spoons (not keeping those) $5

Dh also got a couple of OLD GI Joes and old Barbie "head" (the make up & hair kind) to resell.

~Fantastic deal on the desk! It's very similar to what we're using as our computer desk but your is in much better shape! Ours was $7 at SA.
What kind of auction was it?~

An estate auction. It was mostly construction stuff & office supplies, but there was quite a bit of household stuff too.

Oh! I am so jealous of the desk. And great price!

I have been looking for something similar on CL. There is an auction place just down the road from me....may have to go to some of them. They were having one yesterday.

    Great deals......way to go!

Okay YM! I won't tell you how many we have either then! But it's somewhere between five and seven...LOL! I have a feeling you got me beat, but I'm not placing any bets till I get back the same kinda hint that I gave you...HA!

C'mon YM! Do tell! We can admit things like that at FV. Our "treasure" stories fall on very understanding, head-nodding yes, ears.

Just kidding! (but i still am curious)

    Theresa

BTW, I've never gotten to an auction, and there's at least 3 local ones. With bargains like you got, I'm making definite plans this time. You got some great things!

LMAO! We have Fourteen!!! BUT we have four kids who each have one in their bedrooms. We have three computer desks in the office, one Little Tykes desk, two "student" desks (from a school auction), three antique desks (one from my grandmother, one from dh's grandfather, and one from an auction), and one desk that's sitting in the foyer waiting to go to Salvation Army.

YM - you really scored!! I remember a desk like that in my grandparents' sunroom!!

I love going to auctions, but have been known to get carried away!! went to an estate jewelry sale in Connecticut once and my goodness - they were so glad that I attended!!

Good fun - cannot wait to hear about the next one!!
