Local thrift closing, 75% off!
Went to rummage sale at a Temple in Nashua this morning, would have been great except for RUDE people- you know, the ones who cut out of line to start piling up the jewelry items, after being TWICE it's not time yet (nasty younger ladies simply ignored the 65-75 yo women running this charity rummage sale, I wanted to SMACK them into some kind of social couth!)...the ones who push, elbow and basically act like it's the last $2 pair of jeans on earth- ridiculous, I have no patience for that! Day was saved when FINALLY a little thrift store in a town I pass through was open- only open 8 hours a week now, they're 30 minutes away- closing down, everything 75% off!
-2 pairs of jeans, 1 tweed cap for me, 3 books, 2 pairs of Franco Sarto shoes- $3.25.
Made the hellish Nashua incident almost worth it!

Are the prices at any other Salv. Army's RIDICULOUS lately?
I keep checking the one 45 minutes from me, I am in that area doing business errands for my hubby sometime- each time, the last few months, I barely buy anything, they've gotten expensive!
-used jeans are usually $8+, run-of-the-mill purses 8.99+, dresses 9.99+, shoes 5+, even if beat
What happened to low prices and great finds? I'm far better off yard sale-ing and doing consignment shops- and it doesn't seem donations have gone down, the shop is still overflowing. Hardly even makes the 1/2 days worth it!
Anyone else finding this lately?

~Nice deals at the 75% off sale! Sorry you had a lousy experience at the rummage sale. It's a huge peeve of mine when other shoppers at Goodwill insist on checking the entire rack they started even if it means getting shoulder to shoulder with me and reaching over me to snag something from the rack directly in front of me. Some thrift shoppers have very little manners about personal space when it comes to bargain shopping.

I haven't been to SA in over a year so I don't know about their prices. My DH is finally getting a Saturday off so I can thrift this weekend. Maybe I'll be able to fit SA into my circuit and let you know what our prices are like.
