Default Don't go to garage sales often anymore

I do however, enjoy going to the once a year village wide sale here. Unfortunately I didn't know it was today and missed out on the good bargins this morn. I'm so sad because this is where & when I get my "new" jigsaw puzzles to work on. What am I going to do next year? I'll try to keep an eye out for them...

I did however score a nice brand new Pfaltzgraff "April" tea kettle for dd who was needing one desperately. Cost me a buck!
Proud of myself for not buying other things I wanted (a brand new tea pot in the same pattern was calling my name) because after helping to fill 2 huge 10 cubic yard dumpsters for the inlaws this week I don't want/need more "stuff" I want/need less.

my how times are 'a-changing'..... i don't have the desire for anything else either...used or not.....weird....and this has been going on for 2 yrs now.....stuff out-not in has been my mantra....

I need to start going to yard sales - need some things for our preschool - toys etc. REally don't want to get carried away!! I want things to go out of our home, not come in!!

Cute tea kettle. Great find at an even greater price. Way to go.

I don't garage sale much.......never find anything. Stopped at one today and the one thing I might have bought.......hard back book.......they wanted $2 for it... what??? When I just went to the library sale and paid 50 cents for hardbacks!!! Didn't even ask for lower $. Bought nothing.

Used to love shopping for toys & books when my kids were young, prices are usually just right. Bought so many kids books that ended up being used by cousins who vacationed at my inlaws summer home. Saved alot for my future (no rush) gkids too. I'd take my kids with me to sales & they'd be playing with "new" toys while I watched them & looked for grown up stuff. Then once we are home with our loot, they'd be playing for hours while I gloated over my can't-pass-it- up bargins. I was always on the look out for good quality kitchen items and cookbooks too, those were my kinda toys, lol.

I hear you on cutting back on geting more stuff sabrelvssammy. Nice to have "enough"
Bet that lady didn't sell many books frugalfranny.
