Good Will Finds

My local Good Will is ridiculously over priced; still, I had cabin fever, so I loaded up the baby and we went over to browse around a bit. It was a disappointing trip at first...they had TONS of new books out, but they were all religious self help and romance--not my thing. They had some new baby dishes and accessories that I guess were donated from some dollar store. They were asking $1.49 a piece, when the dollar store's $1 price tag was clearly visible, lol.

I did see some old perfume bottles, which I LOVE, but they were missing their caps, so I couldn't justify paying $2 for them...especially since I have enough, and all they do is sit around collecting dust.

Hitting the clothes section, I found a brand new pair of jeans with the tags still on and a like-new pink button down top. They weren't major brand names but they were constructed well, were in good shape, and fit well...so I picked those up for $2.50 a piece.

Hehe, and then, over to the videos. I bought a Dr. Seuss ABC VHS tape for $2.50. Normally I wouldn't pay ANYTHING for a VHS when I can get DVDs for cheap or free...but it looked cute. It was a reading of three Dr. Seuss books, showing the words and pictures of the original books. It was well worth the high price when my son sat and watched, enthralled at the whole 40 minute video! I got some laundry and dishes done, and didn't even have to feel too guilty about plopping him in front of the TV since it was merely a reading of a book to music!

My ds loved that video too! He only watched it a few times before he could take the real book and "read" the entire thing to me.~

Love going to thrift stores. My last excurtion cost $32. Bought a vintage dress, ann taylor loft skirt, bathing suit cover up, powder blue top, brand new tags still on banana republic top, and a pet carrier. Normally I do not spend that much at one time, but everything was in such great condition could not resist.

Just need to stay away from thrift stores for a while.
