    Default Book Store Goodies

My area has the best used book store, lol. I can never get out of there under $10! This week, I had a doctor's appointment across the street, so went in afterward to browse.

I found: The Civil War in West Virginia...an out of print book from 1976. I paid a little more than I normally would for a used book--$15--but it is out of print, and not even available on Amazon. Plus, I really, really wanted it, lol.

Also got a text book on WV history from 1934 for $10.

And then, to feed my guilty pleasure, I got a Stephanie Plum book for $1.50. I did resist on an Images of America book on Parkersburg, WV. It was also $10, but I think I can get it for cheaper...

Oops...forgot to add: I went to my local metaphysical shop, hehehe...and they also sell used books. For 25 cents I got a book on famous people's graves. I actually already have a copy of this book, so this one will make a nice lil' gift for my taphophile buddy.

Used book stores can turn up some unexpected pearls. I wish we had a good one around here, but the only one I know of is probably 95% mass market paperback fiction. I'm not putting that down, but I miss the days when I lived elsewhere and could find wonderful and surprising titles on the shelves.

I love all book stores......even new.

Sounds like you found some real treasures......congrats.

I have started volunteering at my library to sort books for our twice a year used book sales......could be a killer for me!! I just love books!
