Yay! Found just what I needed at a yard sale!
My cell phone got wet at some point, began shutting off randomly, usually right after I sent out a text or right as someone sent me one (so I wouldn't know they were calling/texting). What a pain! I am in no mood to spend $50-200+ on a new phone, even after their rebates and such it's expensive, esp. when we have another 10 months or so on our contract and will not break it and have to pay those fees. Was browsing eBay, found the model I wanted, but even in 'poor' cosmetic condition this few years old model goes for $20+...but I found one for $3 at a garage sale yesterday, in decent shape, with charger, bought it, went to the cell place to have my # and info changed over- viola! A used but functional phone that doesn't shut off when it feels like it. I love a bargain!

That was very lucky. I've seen cell phones at Goodwill, but not for my provider, US Cellular does not use SIMS, it's hard coded, supposedly harder for someone to steal. I got a decent one on eBay for hubby who put his through the washing machine, less than $20, worth it to us.
