Default school shopping - goodwill finds

whew - that takes a while! going through all the racks at goodwill i mean.

i'm "tard" but came home with a pair of "new with tags" size 24 dark wash/ boot cut / jeans, and a lane bryant fitted peridot green blouse, suitable for teaching school.

    salvation army manana!
    11% gross to retirement
10% takehome to tithe and offerings
emergency fund maintained at 3000(works for me)
    credit card debt 7500
    mortgage free
freedom accounts/sinking funds that ebb and flow
    then live on the rest!

i am trying something new. LDS church advises savings or debt repayment should be the same as the tithe. 10% each.

~WTG! Love finding NWT at thrift prices!
My Goodwill tires me out too. I usually have to limit myself to less than 6 aisles(they must be 100 ft long!)or my body will rebel.~

why do they sort the clothes by color and not size. I don't get it.

My local Goodwill sort by item and then by size.

So if you are looking for a long sleeve shirt you go to the long sleeve shirt in your size

No color sorting at my local Goodwill unless Say St patricks day is coming up then they might pull all green items and sort those special.

Good will drives a crazy because they don't sort by size. It takes way too long to look. With that said , I did find 3 tops and one bottom for my little one today. I am starting to wonder at 3.69 is it really worth buying the tops? I can buy new ones at Target for 4.50. Glad you found something for yourself.

My local Goodwill store sorts by color too! It drives me nuts to have to look through everything to maybe find the size I'm looking for.

I agree that some of their pricing is outrageous...why pay $3.50 for something used that I can buy for new for $1 more?

That being said, sometimes I do find good deals, but they are few and far in between. I never give up hope though.

Our Goodwill does sort by size, but what drives me crazy is that the "Plus Size" section is mainly XLs with a few actual plus sizes. What really gets my goat is that quite a few of the workers are plus sized. They are probably getting the good stuff then padding the section so a supervisor doesn't notice it is empty.

Great job! I would still pay 3.69 or even 4.50 for a nice piece of clothing at Goodwill because as a plus-sized person, they are harder to find in my area and Target, Wal-Mart, etc., hardly ever go that low on their clothing. At least where I live.
