    Default A good find!

Just found my 7 year old son white Nike shoes for school at my local thrift store. The cost was 50 cents!

Their shoe prices are 3 pairs for 1.00 OR 1 pair 50 cents a piece. I recently also got my 1 year old two pair of tennis shoes and my daughter a pair of Sunday church shoes all for 1.00! Thats what Im talking about! My husband got an Eddie Bauer casual plaid shirt for 2.00!

I no longer buy new shoes very much. Almost always I get my shoes for around 34 cents - to a few dollars at the thrift stores or Garage sales! I told my Dh I could have 20 pair of Thrift store shoes for the price of a cheap 10.00 Walmart pair! I'll take the 20 pair of Thrift store shoes!

I'm with ya- I'd rather gently used shoes cheap and more of them than new shoes for much more $, esp. since I LOVE shoes. Latest find was Nikes, my hard to find size (11), at a garage sale for $1, look new, girl claims she wore them twice, had bought them on impulse but didn't really like the colors. I saved at least $35+!

~That's a fantastic price!! My thrifts sell shoes at $3 pair. Yard sales may have shoes for $1.
I saved a lot when my kids were really little because babies and toddlers put no wear on shoes. I still save quite a bit on dd's dressier shoes for the same reason.
But I've had to buy ds new shoes for a few years now. It's so hard finding used shoes in good condition for boys! I'd be dancing around if I found nice sneakers for a price like that!~
