I prefer to shop alone..either thrift store or regular type store...faster and less goodies brought home. I can tell myself NO and actually listen to myself.
Now if hubby goes along, he has his list in his mind, and not always, but sometimes trips me up. Like today he wanted a new battery for his ATV, but I told him, give it another month or so. We spent almost $ 100 today for his hunting license at Walmart. And his insurance for the ATV is due September. Extra things all at once, don't fit well in our tight budget.

I go to thrift stores alone or with my girls. Once in a great while, I can get my son to go. My girls love going. We just went today. When my mom visits, we go there together. But we take off into separate sections and shop solo and meet up near the register or bump into one another eventually. I don't want to drag her through sifting through kids clothes when she can have her own fun (the store is huge) and we can meet up at anytime.
When I go there alone, I can spend hours there. Can't get me to spend hours in the mall or the grocery store. I can't wait to get out of those stores. If you'd like to help support Frugal Living by Sara Noel, my syndicated column, e-mail, write, or call the managing editor at your local newspaper and ask them to publish it in print or online. I prefer to shop alone for if i go with a friend she is always saying this would look good in your house and most of the time it something i don't want or like. And i like to look at what i want to look at and leave when i get ready not have worry about what some one else wants to do.

I think it is about 50/50. I hit them when I am near them, sometimes that is alone and sometimes that is with the boys along.

Both. G.sales w/ DD are costly. DH likes electronics so that can cost. DS is more of a curb shopper.lol He is always remaking something for the better.

For browsing, I definitely prefer alone. If I'm looking for something in particular, I usually take my bud...especially if its electronic related, lol. He knows what to look for, and can usually find it. And then...he makes sure it works, lol.

Never, ever alone. I do everything with DH. We grocery shop, clothes shop, thrift store shopping, yard sales, flea markets, etc...We do it all together.
Many times the kids will go, too. They use to always go everywhere with us, but over the past year that has changed a bit. They are a little more into hanging out with their friends than shopping with us.DD (19)

I like to go alone most of the time if I'm just browsing or passing time or having QT with myself. Most of the time, my friends don't have similar interests so its hard on both of us. I usually go thrifting with my sister. We go our separate ways once in the store with a cart each and when we do meet up....we compare our finds and return things that either don't look good on us or things that we don't think the other should buy ie housewares or if the price isn't as thrifty as it should be.
