Default Got a find I didn't know was so good (nothing HUGE, but...)

Picked up a newish book by the 'Twilight' series author at a garage sale- $1, hardcover. Told one of my friends who was GREEN with envy- her 12 yo daughter has been begging for that book forever, but it's still $10 ish even on ebay, plus shipping, last she looked, so they hadn't bought it yet. Daughter's bday is coming up, so I am reading it than passing it along as part of her gift. Everyone's happy (it's a REALLY great book, btw). So my $1 has entertained me, will bring joy to this girl, and her mother will also enjoy reading it when she's done. YAY!

'The Host', by S. Meyer...'Twilight' series was for young adults, this is her 1st 'adult' book, though there's nothing in there the Twilight set couldn't read. EXCELLENT read- kind of 'Invasion of the Body Snatchers' but not as straightforward.

Three fold pleasure with a price that's hard to beat! Excellent discovery.

That is excellent. I have a good used book store in my neighborhood, where paperbacks are half the cover price and hard cover books are usually less than half. I pick up a lot of relatively recent books for a reasonable price.

My best place is the library where paperbacks are 25cents, hardcovers $1 - most are older, but it's where I pick up goofy romance and similar books to take on vacation at the beach - I am not gonna do any heavy thinking there!!!
