Karma and Thriftstores
Well today I ended up in a thriftstore instead of finishing my walk. I realized I had my mac card so I started picking out some shirts. All of which I really did not need but thought I would shop for. The thriftstore has a mac machine.
I finally find a bunch of blouses and get to the checkout. My purchase is rung up and I tell the cashier that I need to go to the mac machine and get some money. Only to find out it is not working now. So I ask if she could hold it till I went to the next store and get some money. She said no. I try to reason with her but it is no.
As I am reasoning with the cashier I realize, I really do not need this stuff and my life will NOT end if I do not purchase the items. So I said OK and walked out the store. Meanwhile telling myself that if it was meant to be it would have been. Karma is playing a part in my life right now.
I stop by Family Dollar and pick out a white shirt which I do need and notice that I they have denium looking stretch pants so I pick three pairs and pay for them.
Then I stop by an other store and pick up three large purses. Two are for work and one is for going to NYC.
I really need the stuff I bought at Family Dollar and purses more than the stuff at the thrift store. So Karma really did seem to show up today.
Anyone else have experiences like this. Usually it is me finding something I really wanted at the thriftstore.

Interesting perspective and a very healthy one for sure!!
Travel light. The baggage of the past can only hold you back.

Man! What was up with that snotty cashier???
But oh well....little did she know she was doing you a big favor, eh?
But very good reasoning power shoiji,
I like the way you think. AND, as ya know....there's nothing like a new purse (or 2, or 3
) to pick up a girl's spirits anyday!
ha-ha-ha!
Enjoy your bounty!!

Well, last week I was at the Salvation Army thrift store looking for pants( which I desperately need after losing 20 pounds).I found 2 pair dut when I got to the check out one pair was missing it's tag. I knew it had been on them and it said $4.99 so I told the clerk the tag must have fallen off but it said $4.99. Usually they won't sell anything without a tag but he called someone to the counter and she said $3.99. I said no that's wrong and he said well, you got a bargain today. I felt bad because it felt like I cheated or something but that's all he would charge me. I don't know if it was karma or luck bit I saved a dollar.
