    Default Another Vent.....

What is wrong with people??? I give away a lot of stuff on Craigslist. I also check the wanted ads to see if I might have something somenne else needs.....
Today a gal posts that she needs a turkey roasting pan. Please respond with a price...yadda yadda....So I email her and tell her I have a large turkey roaster she may HAVE since I now use a counter top roaster. I give her my general area and when I am available.
She emails back tonight.....You live on the other side of town...don't you ever come over to *X* area of town? I don't have any way to come and get it. WTH???? Maybe you should have said you only wanted items in your area of town....or that you were going to be super picky when someone offered the item for FREE!! Or that you expected someone to deliver it to you??? Entitled much???

Serioulsy??? Or maybe you should go to Dollar Tree and buy a 1.00 roasting pan!

Scary isn't it? Not worth the energy to get upset over - because it seems to be happening more and more. Keep being your generous self and support those who have some semblance of common sense.

You really got worked up over that email?

I don't see it as a sense of entitlement at all. She didn't have a way to get to you, so she hoped you could come closer to her. Seems benign enough to me.

Boy do I hear you! People can be demanding and rude!!!! Sorry she expected you to wait on her. You were kind to offer it!

We recently found a litter of abandoned kittens. I offered them free of course and offered to meet half way if necessary because I am pretty rural and I want them to find homes . I drove 22 miles to meet a lady today. I was ok with that~ not a problem at all. She was very nice about it and I was happy to do it.

Another lady called and gave me a big sob story about how she can't afford a car, groceries , can't pay anyone to drive her half way because gas is too much. Could I bring one to her house 45 miles away!!!! NO. What????? you want me to drive 90 miles round trip and entrust a kitten to you when you just told me all this??? GRRRRR

I'd rather keep the whole litter.

I have this problem a lot when I offer stuff on freecycle. I always say where I live. They know upfront. I am amazed the people that want me to deliver 30 miles away! Sorry you want my used computer etc you can come get it! My gas and time are not free even if what I'm offering you is.
