Christmas Party Dress
I just had to share this one. There is a small thrift shop in an upscale neighborborhood that I like to go to because they have some really nice items there.
I found the perfect dress for my company Christmas party. It is a black silk dress with a heavily beaded bodice and chiffon skirt, and it is beautiful. For a thrift store item it was pricy ($45), but given the value of the dress I think I got quite the bargain. It made me a very happy camper.

Nice!
FYI, the tag probably says "do not wash or dry clean", which leaves you with something of a dilemma. However, I have had success with gentle hand washing of a similar dress. I bought it at a thrift store, too, and it reeked of sweat and smoke. I laid it in the bathtub with room temp water and a squirt of antibacterial hand soap and kind of swished it gently. To dry it, I laid it on dark towels (it was black silk) and rolled it up. After an hour or so I laid it over my drying rack to air dry. It came out beautiful and fresh smelling.Use it up, Wear it out,

What a stunning design - bet it looks great on you and you feel wonderful wearing it - both things are priceless!!
