    Default My Toy Find!

I found these at my local thrift store for my grandson, Parker. The gas pump was $2.00 and the other is a kitchen on one side, library one the other was $3.00. All I had to do was wipe them down and put in the batteries. Parker loves them.

Are they the play house size toys. Can he drive a little tikes car up or is it a hot wheels/toy car sized?

With way they are super neat.

Parker will be able to drive up a Power Wheels truck or ATV and pretend he is filling up or putting air in the tires. I have an old Mastercard Gift Card I've been teaching him to swipe when it asks for payment.

They're perfect, he's one lucky little fella.

If he ever tires of the kitchen set, I'd put it in my kitchen as a decoration

    Great finds!

The thift shops here are outrageous... Saw the kitchen at a Goodwill recently and they wanted $16 for it and it didn't even have the blue thing under the door way.

I love the gas station--Wesley uses our hose nozzle to pretend to fill up his Cozy Coupe and his Power Wheels.

We have something similar to the kitchen--Moo loves it.

Since Wesley sees me swipe my debit card all the time (gas station, grocery store, etc.), I explained to him what it was, how it works, and that it's connected to Mommy and Daddy's money. I figure it's better to explain how it works versus him assuming how it works and being way off.

I agree with the credit/debit card issues. I thought of that as soon as I got the old card out! When Parker is old enough I plan on using play money when I play gas station with him. Right now he still puts things in his mouth.

How nice! I bought one of those pumps this past year as a gift for a 4 YO. I got it on sale for $12. If I remember right it was regularly $30, so thought it was a steal! Now I'm lol at myself after seeing you got it practically new for $2. I love that little kitchenette too.

Sometimes we just happen to be in the right place at the right time, and it looks like it was your turn! Nice finds!

I love getting toys at thrift stores. Just have to inspect them a bit and give them a thorough cleaning once home. For Christmas, many of my kids' toys from "Santa" were from thrift and consignment stores. They don't know the difference. Woe is me the day when they figure it out!
