Timing is everything
I went to the Salvation Army and they were having a 1/2 off clothing sale. I picked up 3 jackets for 25 cents, two pair of pants and a pair of leather Rites shoes for $2.00. I spent $3.25. I couldn't believe it. I will be decorating my jackets after I wash them. Pic's coming soon.

I don't understand the questions in this poll. The poll topic was do you like garage sales or thrift shops better. I would think the choices would have been garage sales (check this box) thrift stores (check this box). All the choices were more questions not really choices.
Anyway, I like garage sales better. Some thrift stores in my area are priced way to high for the items they are offereing. Some are very dirty and nasty.
I will say though that one of my best finds was at one of the nasty thrift stores. It is a buffet. I first saw it and the price was really high maybe 175.00. I really liked it, but was not going to pay that price. A few weeks later it was still there, now it was marked 120.00. I still left it there. It was nagging though. I went back the next day and talked them into selling it to me for 80.00. I love it. I store all my craft stuff in it right next to my dining room table.
Yes, I think some thrift shops charge too much.
As far as a favorite no.
I donate my discards to the thrift shops after I've had a garage sale.
Hope that answers the questions to your poll.Married 22 years to Mark
