Smile My trip to the library book sale - prices up but still bought treasures

Book prices were way up this year, about 50% higher Guess it is true prices are rising everywhere even the library book sale. So I left a bunch of books there but still brought home some treasures

    1) MY favorite find $3 for a cd ( big jump in price from last year) this one I had on my wish list for a while
Amy Grants's Rock of Ages Hymns and Faith I just couldn't talk myself into spend the money for it. So when I found it for $3 I splurged.

2)Two books for my mom's birthday $2 each
Inspirational fiction (she prefers the Amish ones or the prairie ones)
Bought one of each in looks like new condition

From a Distance by Tamera Alexander first in the Timber Ridge Reflections series and A time to Love by Barbara Cameron Quilts of Lancaster county series

    3) Santa Paws to the Rescue by Nicholas Edwards 50 cents that is double the price of kids paper bags last year. Both children love that series. Closer to Little Miss's reading level but Shh Buddy likes to read them for fun. Christmas and dogs what could be better. LOL so I bought this new one as a additon to our collection

I love library book sales. Sounds like you got some good deals, despite the increase in prices.

Thanks I have really been enjoying the cd. The kid immediately wisked away their book for reading.

I'll have to wait until my mother's birthday to see if her books are big hits.

Oddly enough our library sale prices went DOWN. I think they had too many books donated in and piling up from previous sales that they didn't have room for any more so they wanted to get rid of them. By the last day you could stack your books up and they sold them by the foot (.50/foot or .10/book). We came home with BAGS and BAGS and BAGS of books. Best part was I got the last book I was missing in the Kathy Reichs series...I now have them ALL
