I'd say that your great deals by far outweighed your 'flops' - and as you said - someone can use them for sure!! Was this just the usual garage/yard sale or a bigger rummage sale occasion?

~Since the flops are brand name you might be able to recoup the money by selling them on Craigslist or Ebay. ~

    Sounds like some good deals!

We picked up the first five Harry Potter DVDs for $1 each.

A tool kit in plastic case to keep in the house, brand new, $5. We can never seem to keep track of things that get used a lot like pliers and screwdrivers, so now it'll all be in one place.

A set of three stainless steel mixing bowls, which I've been looking for for several years. Unfortunately I had to pay $9 for those. However, I get so much cheap stuff I figure I still come out way ahead overall, even when I have to pay more than I'd like for something.

A glass jar with tight friction-fit lid for fifty cents, which will be perfect for making the pickled fish recipe I want to try.

A garlic roaster for $1. I had just seen the same one in a seed catalog and thought it might be nice to have, but not $17 worth!

Sales are barely getting started here on the frozen tundra, but the first-ever city-wide sales will be happening in a week or two. That might be interesting.

I usually do really well at garage we are in a rural area but I go to better neighborhoods and pick up name brands that are not in my price range. I clothe all of us nicely at yards sales, clearance sales and coupons at JC pennys. I may to not be as FRUGAL with food , cleaning, and personal . But I am here to learn. ! church yard sale and 4 or 5 more. had fun And my first way to go thanks ladies

Saturday was our whole town garage sale day. I shopped all morning and spent $16.00. My haul included 2 new placemats with matching napkins and napkin rings, new curling iron, 6 china napkin rings, 9 linen napkins, denim jacket & matching long sleeve T, 2 gallon Tupperware container with lid, 2 large popcorn tins, large linen table cloth, 3 large balls of crochet cotton, 6 books (including More-with-Less cookbook & a large hard cover Herbal), 2 VCR tapes, pair glass candle sticks, large flower pot, large knife block with 6 knives, sharpening steel, cleaver and meat fork (high quality steel), box of zinc canning lids.

We've used cloth napkins 100% for several years now. The linen table cloth will be made into tea towels. The popcorn tins & tupperware will be used for my pantry. I love the popcorn tins as they are mouse proof! The crochet cotton will be used to tie quilts.

    Default Good things

I don't consider anything as flops. I am sure that someone can use the items or selling them at your own garage sale or ebay. Good score.
