    Default yard sales galore

had to take my son into town for some business and it seems everywhere there was a yard sale so on the way back i stopped at some saw quite a few iron cookware but they wanted to much for them -Wagner and Griswold-im not into name brands i just want something functional what they wanted for a 10 inch skillet i could go to wally world and buy a 6 quart dutch oven---but my son did find a very nice hunting knife for 3 dollars-the knife my son said retails for around 40 dollars--im trying to get out more but im still lonely and confused--sorry -im just in a maudlin mood--ill be going to the harpers ferry flea market tomorrow morning early around 8-9 to look around---hugs to all fv

Thats where we're going too tomorrow. Do you know about the 14 mile yardsale on Rt 45 down to the Va line? Starts near the Target shopping center.
We eat breakfast first on saturdays at a local restuarant then we'll head down to harpers ferry.
Have fun when you're down there!!

I'm too jealous for words. I love G.sales. I have had a goal to buy over 75% of what we need at them. Well, incl. estate sales and fleas markets, church sales. but used in any case.
So glad you are getting out. Akward at first but hopefully easier w/ time. If you ever get to MI. pm me and we'll show soms sales whose boss.

LOL, I wouldn't go so far as a ray of sunshine, but whatever! glad it helped! LOL

I found a book on herbs for .50; some essential oils to make my deodorant with ( even told the lady I bought them from the recipe lol) and I bought some celery plants for the garden. The man said he'd give me both flats for .50! sold! LOL It was only 7 plants but I got them in the ground now, so I hope they make.
Went up the road to the indoor flea market and scored 2 big clay planters for $5 each. Then we hit the goodwill in our town and I found a bolt of cloth ( t-shirt material) for $4 and a cherry pitter for $3( it's a big one made in Germany)

Sounds like the two of you had a great time. I must be nice to love so close together. I feel kinda lonely up here. No FVers live anywhere near me to meet and yard sale with. I am happy that you had a wonderful day out and scored some ironware.
