Thumbs up Does Anyone Have a Thrift World

I'm so happy. They just opened a store here and I had a hay day! Very clean and nice. I've never heard of them before and my parents told me today, so we ran up there to check it out. I guess they are out of Omaha.

The only downside is there is no exchanges and all sales are final so I tried on everything. The GW gives you a week to exchange.

I'm talking racks full of really nice, name brand clothes. I could have spent 5 hours there. Anyway, I bought 4 pairs of capri's and 2 shorts for 16 bucks. Eddie Bauer, Gap, Old Navy, Banana Republic and Levi's. I didn't even have time to check out the shirts. lol

Oh I love thrift shopping and this is going to be bad, very bad.

I also found an Aeropostale shirt at GW.

~I haven't heard of this chain but I'm glad for you! Sounds nice.
I'm surprised your GW lets you exchange. I've never seen a thrift store that didn't have a "All Sale Final" sign above the register.
A week to return would be so nice for taking things home for the kids to try on!~

Yep, sometimes I have no patience trying everything on. The GW that I shop at gives you a week to exchange with receipt and no hassle.

I think I'm going to love this store, but I better not go in there too much! LOL

Congrats on the great new store - and you better go in there often - you know that the merchandise is going to fly out of there!! Is there an organization that is behind Thrift World or just some enterprising and wise people?

So, give it up, where is this place? DH is telling me he needs new dress shirts and I refuse to pay $45 or more for something he is going to get ink all over within a few weeks.

CH, it's 39th and Noland Road in Independence. Right across the street from CVS.

Next stop I make I'm going to get DH some work shirts too. They have those shirt sleeve collar shirts all organized on a big rack.

If you go let me know what you think.
