Smile Saw some things at the goodwill that warmed my heart

My heart was warmed by seeing at the Goodwill clothes that belonged to Little Miss when she wore toddler size. Oh to think of all the girls that have worn those clothes and to think another girl or girls might were them.

    History of the outfits
1)When Little Miss was a toddler received some hand me downs in that size from a friend and my niece. Some of them were handed down to my neice before coming ours
2)Little Miss wore them as a toddler
3)We passed them down to a friend that has four girls. The youngest girl just outgrew toddler clothing.
4)And I found the outfits at the goodwill.

Yes it warmed my heart to think of all the girls that have worn those clothes ( up to 7girls have worn them so far). Went back a few days later and some of them had already sold ( well before half off day) so on to possible girl # 8 or more.

There is definitely something to be said for classic well made clothing.

I had a second thought that made me smile

Someone actually paid money ( and top Goodwill dollar) for our outgrowns. Someone didn't just take them and wear them because they were free they actually paid for them.

I always felt like something that still looked good at the Goodwill had just been 'road-tested' by someone else's kids!!

How nice to think that they didn't end up in a landfill. Maybe in a couple of years you will see them in there again!

Every time you buy something from Goodwill not only are you contributing to the organization, but saving an item from ending up in the landfill that's win win. Charity plus being green. I love the Goodwill, can't tell you the last time I bought new clothing or home decor or even kitchen items, my favorite is the Bargain Goodwill, just got my 4th pair of Merrill shoes for 1.50 and found another Dooney purse for 1.25.

Goes to show you how much life there really can be in those childrens' outfits! If only little boys' pants could last longer- feels like my 5 yo son can wear out the knees on a pair of pants just by looking at them :0.

Our nearest Goodwill is about 1.15 hours away, so I rarely get there, but hoping to go soon to prepare for back -to-school.
