Smile $100 cashmere sweater for $3.50 at goodwill and other finds

And people say you can't find goo things at thrift stores lol

I found a beautiful 100% cashmere land end sweater (retails currently at land end for $100) price at goodwill $3.50. I so wanted it. Tried in on but it made me itch. I guess it is to close to wool for me. At least I didn't break out in instant hives like I do with normal wool.

So I put it back on the rack. About that time my ex neighbor showed up and said hi. She wears the same size I do so I showed the cashmere sweater. when I checked out she she was still happily carrying the sweater while she did the rest of her shopping.

    other things I bought:

    from my shopping list
1)a long sleeve shirt for Little Miss $1.50
    2) cardigan sweater for me $3.50
an Old Navy one like this one Women's V-Neck Cardigans | Old Navy but a lovey cappuccino color

Not on my list was a lovey acrylic and silk machine washable pull over sweater. The yarn was marled ( yarn made from strands of different-colored yarn twisted together, sometimes in closely related hues) traditional tweed colors in it. Modern and classic at the same time. Oh, it looked so lovely but it wasn't on the list so I was going to put it back on the shelf. My mom had seen how nice it looked on me and bought it for me. So sweet of her.

    my mom bought for her
a pair of Naturalizer shoes that matched her purse she had with her that day. $4.50
a Eddie Bauer shawl collar pull over sweater $3.50
a beautiful shade of green zip sweater hoodie $3.50
and a long sleeve t shirt that matched both perfectly $1.50

i had a few min after work the other day and popped into ours
found a Phillies jersey in my dhs size button down style lucky had no name on it which means no worry if the buy leaves the team it was NWT had the MLB seal sticker thing it was 8.90 but for that its really cheap ( for christmas ) . also got my youngest a NWT phillies had that fit him perfectly

and a funny tie for my 17 yo for school of the coca cola polar bear playing baseball for 2$.

i really dont go in with anything in mind anymore for the most part they are priced way too high - part of me thinks a baseball lovin employee put these things out with a low price in hopes of nabbing them on their lunch break .

i heard 2 ladies laughing they wanted 8$ for a used old navy fleece when they ca get them new for 5$ at a special sale they have each year .

Way to go on the good deals

Too funny about the $8 old navy fleece.

Our goodwill as a standard price all shirts $X and all children's clothing $X with a few items priced higher then the standard if it is a really high priced item or very good quality and then no more than 10% of the original price. IF 10% of the original price is less than the standard selling price then it is the standard selling price. Clear as mud?

Example our Goodwill today had JJill blazers new with tags and extra buttons. The original tags said $139.99

so they were $13.99 if they are still there in a month then they will go 50% off and will be $6.99. plus you could use your 10% card if you had one and it would be $6.29.

I didn't need them so left them there for another person.
