    Default Just scored!!!!

I just purchased from the thrift store a Banana Republic knee length down coat for $10. Can't believe it. When I checked Banana Republics site it lists a puffer jacket at $130. Right now it is in the dryer.

My criteria for purchasing anything at a thriftstore was that it needs to look new. When I was in line with the coat I noticed that there was make up on the collar. Decided to purchase it anyway since I could try to get the makeup off with oxi-clean. Well the oxi-clean worked perfectly. The coat looks brand new!!

We try to stick to like-new stuff, too. Why not? It's the same price as the not so new stuff.

~Oh that sounds so warm! My mom had one of those long quilted coats in the 80's and it just looked so toasty!
I haven't been able to find anything like that in my size that doesn't make me look like I just wrapped a blanket from my bed around myself and walked out the door. I demand at least a little style! ~

Style becomes less important when you live where it gets seriously cold.

Have to agree with that. After living near lake erie the only thing you worried about was being warm in the winter!

What a great buy! And as far as being in style goes, those puffer jackets are VERY popular right now. I see them everywhere.

Enjoy your warmth along with your savings!!

    Default It is nice

I just came from the Thrift shop and scored a pair of Banana Republic ankle brown boots for 2.00. I picked a necklace for 1.00. I plan to take the necklace apart and make some earrings and bracelet.
