I love thrift stores. I try not to buy much anymore because it turns into clutter, but I still love shopping at them for specific items.

Same here. But I did break down and make a trip today to our 3 local stores here (St Vinny's, Goodwill & Salv Army)

I got out spending under $6 (bought a couple of travel bags & a cosmetic bag for $1 ea - American Tourister even - time to retire the bags I have been using for the past 20 years - off to my next garage sale) and 4 magazines for reading while I travel so I can leave them behind (.25 ea) - yes, the library is even more frugal but they get kinda upset when I don't bring their stuff back- lol.

Got 5 bars of Caress soap & 2 Dove (No, NOT used-haha). Some travel size lotions, cleansers, floss (does it sound like I am going somewhere- lol)

Also picked up a future gift - brand new bottle of Justice (as in the store for girls) lotion for a $1. Got a couple of nieces that think that the world would not be able to continue to survive without the addition of Justice Stores.

But, an observation that I did make at all three stores as I was coming/going - I noticed that their collection bins are overflowing all over their parking lots...

Can someone say ~ GREAT Deals are on their way....

Today was Tupperware day for me. I got six tiny T-ware containers that hold about a tablespoon for .49. Also picked up two spice boxes for .49 each and four assorted larger rectangular containers for .49 each. Considering the price of Tupperware, I'm happy.

I got a yard of decorator fabric with a loon print for .49, too. I may use that to make the backing for the five pillow covers I have loon quilt blocks for.

I picked up three packages of wide hem tape for .20 each.

I got two different sizes of rotary cutters for .49 each.

Got a top for myself for $4.29, too. Nothing special but I like it.

I'm doing much better only buying things I have a real use for.
