My first yard sales of the season!
We hit the big time

First I found an electric waffle iron for $3. I've been wanting one of those for so long! And an enamel tray that will look lovely on my dining room table w/ fruit in it for $2 (a little more than I would have liked, but it's in perfect condition...and 60 yrs old!).
Then we (dh & I) found an old Barbie doll case. In it was a Francie doll (Barbie's MODern cousin) and a ton of clothes, shoes, etc. It was priced $40, but dh talked her down to $30. Sounds like a lot for an old Barbie. But we brought it home, sorted out the clothes & shoes and found that we had no less than a dozen COMPLETE Barbie outfits, right down to the nylons & shoes & earrings. We put every bit of it on Ebay. And already (the auctions don't close until Sunday evening) we have made our money back & then some! Yahoo! Vacation fund money right there!
And dh found a Hot Wheels car track (more like a little town) from 1979 for 25 cents, the boys are playing with it now, but he'll probably either take it to his next toy show (he sells toys, antiques & collectibles) or put it on Ebay.
THEN! I found 4 prs of pants & 1 pr of shorts for my 13yo (who wear's ladies size 9!!) for $10 and 5 pairs of shorts & 3 shirts (one Abercrombie & Fitch!) for $9 for my 10yo dd. That was a really good score because the shorts were slims, I can't even find slims shorts in the department stores.
Still not done! We got for my 7yo ds 6 pairs of shorts, 4 sleeveless shirts, 2 long sleeve shirts, 1 outfit, & 2 CDs, and a Queen size 100% cotton blanket for me for $8!!!
Can't wait to have my yard sale this weekend!

Cool! Great Buys! I have Francie at my Mom's house and the original black patent round Barbie case. Wonder what that is worth now?

The cases don't seem to go for much, but the dolls sure do!
