    Default I got to go garage sale-ing

    And my best buy was a new one of these:

    [ame="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B000063K7J/qid=1117928043/sr=8-2/ref=pd_csp_2/104-7376711-8999920?v=glance&s=home-garden&n=507846"]Amazon.com: Metrokane Rabbit 6-Piece Wine-Tool Kit, Black: Home & Garden[/ame]

    It was a Christmas gift she was decluttering -- I got it for $7. Dh's b'day is next week -- guess what he's getting?!

    Also bought:

    2 stainless steel goose-neck lamps -- DH will use them for grow-lamps. Marked $4 apiece, but she let me have them both for $6. (DH was w/ me at that sale, or else I would have added them to his b'day gift.)

    Bungie cords for DH -- about 6 of them for $3. Two hardware-type clips for DH ($1). [DH thought they are great. He went out w/ me to see if she still had the others, but they were already sold when we got there.]

    6 bags of plastic beads for the kids ($2). There are LOTS of beads in there!

    Taste of Home 2003 cookbook ($1).

    A lacy tablecloth ($3), Burberry wallet ($1).
    And, probably best of all, a small (signed) oil painting in a Southwest design (again for DH's b'day), .... for $2 !!!

    Also stopped at the local thrift store's bag sale. Got LOTS of cross-stitch books, 2 Tupperware containers, and a scrabble game for my $5.
