    Default Salvation Army $1 days

Our local Salvation Army is bursting at the seams and to clear out some space has had all clothing and shoes for $1 for a couple of weeks. Last week I got a few t-shirts and a zip up denim jacket for my daughter. Today I got 2 pairs of jeans for my son --- one pair from The Limited. Normally I wouldn't pay $1 for a tshirt (not a good garage sale price anyway), but I consider it a good cause. And purchasing the other items evens out the cost.

I was soooooooo tempted by the really nice ladies dresses and suits, but since I no longer wear them to work it would not have been a good buy. If I had had time it would have been interesting to see what I could have bought to take to the consignment shop!

I wish our SA would run some dollar days. They do run specials where all their clothes are marked half-priced.

We get the half price days too, then many of the things I buy for the kids are less than a dollar.... shopping at SA thrift stores is a good thing.. and I don't just say that because the SA is our church.
