I also got a brand new with tags NY and Co shirt. The tag said $34.99.
The pic didn't turn out very well because it's navy blue.

Yes. They look good! I am jealous.
I suppose it takes practice to find steals. I still purchase new when the sales are 50-70% off, because I've had bad luck with thrift stores.

Awesome finds! I haven't been to the thrift store in a long time. Maybe once I clean out my closet, I can find a few more new things. I've found awesome things at the thrift store.

I usually spend an hour to two hours at our thrift store. I go through the kids section one item at a time. lol There are about eight rows of racks in the kid section. Not everything is in great shape that's there, but I paw through and find items that are the size I need or one to two sizes ahead for the kids. I just try and pick styles that are not too trendy.
Shirts for me are easy. I like conservative tops and wear mostly stripes and like v necks. I can fit in anything from a medium to an extra large depending on the brand and style.
Today green tags were 80% off. I haven't seen that very often, so got lucky. Not every item I purchased had a green tag, but a fair amount did.
I tend to shop on Saturdays and sometimes it's a mob scene and other times it's very quiet. Today was really quiet.
I used to go to garage sales more often, but it's easier to go to the thrift store.
I was glad I did ok this trip because last trip I accidentally purchased a shirt that's a bit snug and I won't be wearing it.

I use to come home with bag loads of clothes. I would shop on the 1/2 off day. It's held once a month. It's a lot of fun, and usually the clothes are in great condition. No one would ever know that the clothes came from a thrift store.

I could never afford these clothes new in a retail store, so we dress better in secondhand clothing than we would purchasing new. Plus, the condition of the clothes is just awesome and I always find at least one new with tags item.
It's my time alone on Saturday too, so I always feel really good getting a good deal and having my "me" time. It's cheap entertainment for me and a bargain too.
It's fun when everyone circles around to see what I bought when I walk in the door too. lol
Sometimes it's toys and books and sometimes it's clothing.
Now the kids have started making requests. Zachary wants a hooded jacket or sweatshirt. lol
I also love knowing that my kids love the thrift store too. I know I did when I was a kid too.
I just found another new thrift store in town too. I don't know when I'll get a chance to visit it, but I'll share if I find any great deals.
Ok, I've rambled enough. I had a cup of coffee..can anyone tell? lolIf you'd like to help support Frugal Living by Sara Noel, my syndicated column, e-mail, write, or call the managing editor at your local newspaper and ask them to publish it in print or online. Yes, I can tell. I'm drinking coffee too... Shouldn't be, it's 11 p.m. here. I'm suppose to be cleaning out my closets, and cleaning the house. Here I am, sitting here on the computer. But, I'm getting off in the next 10 minutes. The company is arriving tomorrow. Nothing like company to motivate me!
