FOUND: MAYER FAMILY INFORMATION AND PHOTOS

I was going through a box of my deceased father's things and found a box that he said had been dumped near his property out in the country. This box contains items from the Mayer Family. This seems like a lifetime's worth of important papers and memories..things like passports, birth certificates, social security cards, wedding albums, baby albums, deeds, etc...
Here is some information on the family.
Michael Francis Mayer born in Minnesota, 1943 was a CPO in the US Navy
Gabriel Sarah Mayer was born in Ireland, 1944 and the last city I have information that she lived in was Fresno, CA
the two were divorced sometimes in the late 70's
they had two children:
Terrance Tyson Mayer born in Ancon, Canal Zone, January 1968
Jessica Elizabeth Mayer born in Milwaukee, WI, January 1971

If anyone has any information on this family, please let me know so I can send this box of things to the family, if any are still around.

Aaaww that's very sad indeed. I don't know the family but maybe if you could post something at Myfamily.com (my mother does a lot of research on her family, I "think" this is the name of the site.....) someone might know something.

Have you done a search on google for the son's name? Or any of the other search engines?

Ok if I post this on another board where 2 or more members do alot of geneology? They might be able to help.

Please, feel free! The more the word gets spread the better for me..

I've done all the search engines I can find.. I'm finding many dead ends.. and many sites asking for money to search for the hard facts...

I tried looking on Whitepages.com and there were a ton of Michael Mayer's, I think there was one Michael F. and there was one that was listed as Michael and Sarah and then I remembered you said they were divorced.

I think there was also one or Terrance Mayers listed.

Best of look to you. I'll post word on another board I visit sometimes.

Thanks for the ideas everyone! A friend of mine at the newspaper is interested in the story now, and she thinks her staff can help find something out.

I would try to find the family too! That's very thoughtful of you!

I'm sure the children would be interested in finding out about all this info & share it with there kids maybe using it in a scrapbook someday to pass on to other generations in the family.

I was surprised while cleaning out Ma's house I found a pay stub of my Grandpa's & a few of my Uncle's war memorabilia, some papers of my Dad's when he came to this country from Czechoslovakia I will be puting in my Family Tree scrapbook.

I gotta work on my Family Tree one of these days! I found a relative of mine online....just not sure if I ever met her & she lives on Long Island too! Her name sounds familiar & she's my Dad's Brother's Wife's Sister so most likely I'd remember her even if I was little the last time I may of saw her.

It was a coincedence I was researching a name of one of my Aunt's on my Dad's side of the family & saw my Dad's Brother's name listed on this person's website...so Umm I had to ask her WHO SHE IS? I was very curious..since my Family Tree is not complete just yet! I have many relatives still in EUROPE I have never met but my Dad has lots of pics I've seen.

I tried searching on Jessica's name & she's 34 living in CA there's a few listings, different cities so maybe the family is all in California now! Hopefully your newspaper friend can locate them.

I looked up the names you gave on www.findagrave.com with no matches. I also posted your info on the message boards there-- there are lots of folks there interested in genealogy and cemeteries, so maybe someone will recognize the names.
