Found an old treadle machine base at a junk store
for a good price over the weekend. It doesn't have a top on it but I have a piece of marble that I can have cut to fit it. I'm soooo excited. I've always wanted one of these tables made out of a treadle base. It's not as good as free but won't cost as much as a table bought at furniture store (not even 1/2 as much). Doing the happy dance over here.

Lisa we used to sell these treadle bottom tables with oak tops at our store for $200. You did great finding the base and adding marble. Well done!

I can't wait to get it finished. I'll try to take pics of the before and after. The only thing is, is doesn't have the actual treadle piece on the base but it won't look bad used as a table, even so. I'm excited.

Lisa I am jealous!
I have been searching for a cheap treadle base all Summer! I have been dying to get my hands on one so I can either convert my machine or get one that is already set up to use with a treadle (that's new or newer). I'm still looking though.

A really good find!
I was surprised when cleaning out Ma's house in the attic, shed, basement I found some stuff I never knew we owned.
In the shed was a White Treadle Sewing Machine, a few Singer Machines, an old RCA Victrolla where the records are stored below in it.
In the basement was a NESCO really old roaster. I never knew about this & Ma never used it so it was my Grandma's.
DH wants to put the White Treadle Sewing Machine in my scrapbooking/craft room (gotta find space for everything...room is under construction now!)
The RCA he wants to have in our LR
It looks similar to this one. I never got to take a good pic since DH moved it into the garage w/all the other stuff. There's a few antique dressers, dinning table, buffet to match DH wants to restore them.
