Consignment bonanza

Well, DD #1 got a bike from our neighbor across the street from a local kids consignment sale. If you didn't read my other post - the bike tires barely had dirt on them - and she got it for $10.

Today the markdowns started at the sale. DD #2 and I went. She also is too big for her current bike. We found another almost new bike with training wheels at the same sale my neighbor found DD#1's bike. It was marked $15, but with the markdown it was only $12. She loves it.

I stopped by church because our HUGE church yard sale is tomorrow. DH is in charge of sporting goods. Sitting there were 2 old style bikes - you know just pedals and coaster brakes - no gears or anything! This is what I had wanted to ride with the girls, but they cost a ton at the store. There was a pink one with a big wire basket on the front and a black one. DH & I are getting them for $10 each! Now we can all ride our new to us bikes around our neighborhood.

I am hoping to find the girls some clothes tomorrow as well. With our finances in the toilet this really helps.
