    Default Hand me downs

We went to my mom's for Thanksgiving. She always has boxes and boxes of clothes she is getting rid of. She told me to go through them and take what I wanted because she was taking them to goodwill.

I ended up with 7 pairs of jeans/pants for work and everyday wear. I also found 5 nice shirts for work. Some even had the tags still attached.

I also picked up a full winter wardrobe for one of my DH's nieces. My BIL is raising 2 of his 4 girls alone and can barely make ends meet. So this helped him out! I also picked up a few skirts, a pair of jeans, and some shirts for his other daughter. They were so excited to receive them. I called mom to let her know and she said if they needed more to come get them.

I always said my mom was a shop-a-holic. She buys items for my sister's girls and then they won't wear them. Instead of taking them back, she gives them away. I told her to sort through them and take them to a consignment shop. Some had price tags of $40+ hanging from them.

That's wonderful! I know you're happy, and I'm sure she's pleased, knowing that the clothes are getting good usage!

That's great. Makes me feel wonderful when someone gets some good use out of my clothes that I don't wear anymore. Good for you all
