Talking OMG, I almost did it!!!

Remember the baby clothes I bought the other day. They were in 2 grocery bags in my laundry basket so that I could wash them.

Dd needed the laundry basket and threw the bags on the floor. I picked them up and threw them in the large garbage bag. I was cleaning off the top of my computer desk and moving it, when I suddenly remembered these 2 bags. Thank goodness I did, because garbage day is this week!!!!

Next time I put clothes in the laundry basket, I'll take them out of the bag!!!

LOL! That is one way of making sure only the laundry is in a basket.. I don't know how many times I have put things in the laundry basket and forgot until I do that load of laundry...

    OMG!
This has happened to us also. MIL sent over a large amount of clothing in boxes that she had saved from the oldest grand daughter. I had moved the nicer clothes into a large garbage bag next to the back door. Dh thought it was trash and dumped it!!

I have to put everything away the second I get in the door, otherwise they get forgotten!

Amy I do put things away, just not where they rightfully belong.

It's the garbage bag thing that throws us for a loop.

    We're always purging.

Last week, I almost gave away my college son's dirty laundry to charity!!
College daughter had a bag of clothes to give to charity. I decided at the last minute to go through it and see if there was anything salvagable, or things beyond the charity so I can rip out zippers and remove buttons, etc.
Boy did it smell! and I couldn't figure out why dd had men's shorts in her stuff!! and why was she giving dirty socks to them? It was until I got to the towels that I figured it out.

The bags were all near the laundry area.

I just wonder- how many times it actually DID happen and we're still determined to find those items.
