    Default 4 short thrift store trips.

    Yes; I'm addicted. I've been 4 times this week.

    Fri- kids and I stopped in. Spent $3:

    * Chico's shirt for me.
    * candy making molds and unopened sticks.
    * Southwestern Insects book
    * shell-design shower curtain hangers
    * 2 floating candles
    * Blank journal -- I tore out the 2 written-in pages
    * pair rhinestone earrings

    Then, the kids had a playdate. I went BACK. Spent $3 once again:

    * Made-in-Ireland wool sweater for me
    * denim skirt for me
    * t-shirt for DD
    * silky shell for me
    * 4 more floating candles

    Yesterday, I went in to drop off some SHARE fliers (www.sharecolorado.com for more info on SHARE). I spent $3 again:
    * 6 sets straight knitting needles (not highest-quality; these'll be for the kids)
    * 2 sets circular knitting needles (also for the kids)
    * 2 stitch holders
    * 2 crochet hooks
    * 1.5 skeins nice wool (Lopi)

    And, then, when DH and the kids came to pick me up, we all went back to the thrift store. This time, we spent $12.50:

    * new with tags Mudd purse for DD
    * 3 kids' shirts
    * 1 kids' dress (Bonnie Jean)
    * 1 kids' zippered, hooded sweatshirt
    * 3 guidebooks about National parks
    * 2 kids' belts (one brand new with a $15 price tag)
    * sheet of adhesive gift tags
    * reenforcements for loose-leave pages
    * 6 styrofoam balls

    I go to thrift shops alot, I usually try to go for the namebrands since I can't afford to buy them NEW from the store, I look for Forever 21, Charlotte Russe, Abercrombie, Hollister, Aeropostale and namebrands like that... I went one day and got our entire family like 4 outfits each and spent only like $40 and most were all Abercrombie so we all were very happy.

    I love thrift shops, I have a favorite but its like a 20 minute drive so I try to stick with the local ones, I just dont get the good stuff. Hubby and I bought a brand new kitchen fan/light for only $2.50 and it was BRAND NEW in the box, that's the best deal we've ever found so far.
